Does anyone know how to scan on a hp psc 750??

I have this new hp psc 750(printer,scanner,copier) and everytime i scan a photo i get it as huge as a 150MB-cant do anything to make it smaller.tried changing the options but the picture resolution goes bad. it is a real dilema i wish i never changed to this psc.

PLS help.
 
It sounds like you are maybe saving the scanned image in an uncomressed format like a BMP or TIF and your previous images were saved as JPG's.

OR you are scanning a B&W original, but savaing it as a grayscale or color image. Pay attention to the OUTPUT TYPE and the OUTPUT resolution.
