I would like to limit what phones get upgraded to the latest release of 46xx firmware so I can test it out before upgrading all my phones. It is pretty easy to do for the 96XX phones by modifying the 96XXupgrade.txt and using the group command. From what I can tell Avaya does not want you to modify the 46XXupgrade.scr file. We are running CM 3.1.2 and 2.8 on the phones.

I just run a seperate tftp/http server. I staticly assign the server settings in my phone. This way I can test out the FW on my phone to see if everything is good. Not sure if this is the best option, but to test 1 phone, it works for me.
Why not just change the 46xxsetting.scr or txt file and use that group you did with the 96xx phones
