Does anyone have BIOS source code in assembly for
Intel FX,BX,EX or other chipsets? I mean real source code
with comments, normal variables names, not acquired with
dissassembler.

I have access to the BIOS source code of an XT-286. Unfortunately it's hard copy he he he.

Makes good reading though. "Information has a tendency to be free. Which means someone will always tell you something you don't want to know."

AmkG, thats really helpfull - I have a full BIOS source code print out in Russian (Cyrillic Alphabet) HA HA HA.

Say MisterNobody, just what part of the BIOS are you interested in? The whole of it?

I'm interesting in chipset-special initialization code of DMA (especially memory refresh), IRQ and so on.

I would like to write my own mini-OS which one should be written to a standard BIOS EPROM (256k).
Thanks AmkG, I have such source code of XT BIOS (also in
printed form).

I do, sort of. Email me at wagnerjd@users.sourceforge.net and I'll email you an attachment.
