Does anyone have any experience with the ARCserve Backup Agent for Oracle? We're planning to use it to do live backups of our Oracle DB (8.6.1), but I've heard from different people that the Agent doesn't work very well. I'll be running it on ArcServe 2000 ADV on W2K server... Any feedback would be well appreciated...

Hey casper,

The Oracle agent works breathtakingly beautiful on the Oracle server...You can use it in conjunction with the RMAN
utility as well!!

I too am using the Oracle backup agent without any problems at all. I have not done any Oracle restore so I cannot speak on that issue. The restore procedures do look pretty straighforward.
