does anyone have a secrets or pearls to share using vb.net

I always like to ask because someone who has worked on specific projects may have been in the possition to find a handy short cut or solution that cannot be found in a book only through trial and error experience. I may soon be working on a similiar project. Even something a simple as secrets or shortcuts using the IDE would be appreciated.

Google.

"VB.Net" and what ever class/method/error you are dealing with.

I'm a huge fan of the Wrox Handbooks. They go into great detail about specific facets of .NET.

Wrox is a big step up from Deitel. Given the choice between the two, I would recommend Wrox. I found Deitel's books to be about worthless. Mediocre coverage, poor arangements, blatent mistakes and an Index that seemed more like a random number generator then a way to find information quickly.
