does anyone have a pre-exisiting table with States and abbreviations

The message says it all. Im to lazy to actually go thru and manually type them in, unless that is needed. Does anyone have a table with this information? Any format will do.

Guess you could go to any registration site, browse to the registration form, then right click and choose View source.
The drop-down boxes are usually pre-filled with this kind of data.

Or, go to:

http://geonames.usgs.gov/gnisftp.html

save the page as txt, then write some code to extract what you need.

I have one - I could put just that table in a database and e-mail it to you if you post your address.

Thanks but I found something I could use. I went to the postal service and copied the states and abbreviation codes. I then went and put them into an excel spreadsheet and imported them in.
