Does anybody use IE's Autosearch function? Annoying problem...HELP!!!

I use IE's autosearch function in the address bar and everytime I enter something now, I get a "Page cannot be displayed" error and in the address bar, if I search for let's say "IGN" the address bar automatically puts this in:

http:///? ign

I've scanned with Ad-Aware, I've reset the Autosearch function, scanned the registry and I've only found that intalling and uninstalling IE is the only solution, but that can get annoying.

Anybody else run into this?
