This will be a huge problem for our environment
We as a firm transmit large amount of URLs and Information via Email and the internet and these issues are starting to get blocked at the outlook level
I have used AOsetup and TweekOL to eliminate the majority of the security but cant get past the URL's being blocked or telling you that you have to save it to disk.
any help would be good
Thanks All

if you are SENDING them out, that isn't a problem at your end. The Outlook client receiving the URLs needs to look at their outlook security. Look at:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Security]

from a security standpoint dont the recipients want to save stuff to the disk first anyway?

We are toying with the training on this. We know that it is safer to save to the desktop but our clients use a document manage ment system that is highly enforced.
the security wants to save to the desktop or the C: drive. this is a function that we dont endorse due to our documant management system. The only thin that we are mainly concerned with is the URLs. the users dont like that they used to be able to just click it and it opened.

Look into the Office Resource Kit. If you use Exchange, it is easy to manage this.

If you roll out Office/Outlook via group policy, you need only create a public folder to house your security modifications.

If you don't, you need to add a registry key to each user that points back to the security changes.

It's really not hard to reduce the security. I don't have the link handy, but look into the Outlook security management on the MS site. I put the system in place in around two hours.
