Does AIX support hybrid (mixed mode) executeables?

Meaning: can I link a 32-bit library into a 64-bit executeable?

Hi mrn,

To build an executable file on AIX, all participating object files and archive members must be in the same bit mode. However, a library archive can contain both 32- and 64-bit object modules. Most system libraries provided by AIX are hybrid mode.

Just view this link for more information :)
