Hi All
We're looking at enabling 802.1x on our Cisco 2960 switches and using MAB for our non 802.1x compatible clients (printers etc). What I'm wondering is, when the printer is initially connected to the port, the switch will request 802.1x authentication, then fail, and then go to MAB authentication. When this passes, the port will be opened. But after that, does the port remain open permanently ? Or will the switch periodically try to re-authenticate the printer ? And if it does re-authenticate, will the printer temporarially lose connectivity while it is being re-authenticated ?
Thanks in advance
