Here's probably a simple question. We're installing Windows 2003 R2 64 bit into a two node cluster with a shared SCSI backend drive array.

Is it true that the server nodes MUST be joined to Active Directory? These nodes are going to be accessible from the internet out in a DMZ, so it's preferable to leave them out of AD, however documentation is indicating that the servers must be joined to AD. So we thought we'd ask. :)

Also, any good how-to links for building a cluster would be appreciated. We've found some rudimentary documentation, but could use more resources.

Thank you in advance,
Doug
