Hi,

If I create an MDE file using Access 2002.

I then distribute it to otehrs, with Access 2000 or Access 97.

Can they use it?

Please help,
Nath

Now they're coming thick and fast... Try saving your access mdb file in Access 97 format in the "save as" screen. Then compile it from there.

However, I have the feeling that when a new version of Microsoft Access becomes available (ie. 2000, and 2002 in the case of your 97 application), it will not automatically convert MDE files. You will have to convert the source files your self.

If you know what your user wants just make it in the correct format. I have the feeling that access 2002 MDE files will not much like 97, but you could always make a prototype and give it a go. Or just make one for each version of Access...

Sorry... I wasn't as helpful as I thought I would be when I started.
