The study guides have this in the material but I've read a couple of places that these questions do not appear on the exam. Is this correct?

Also, when I checked study guides for earlier versions of the tests I dont believe this was included. Am I correct that this is a recent addition? Also, why is it included especially if it was recently added. I know dod developed the tcp/ip model and actually i kind of like it better but if I dont need it for the test I dont want to waste my time. I've had to learn the OSI model 3 times now, (incrediby short memory) and that just adds to the confusion.

I am guessing you are talking about the Support exam?

I have taken the exam twice and I haven't been asked an explicit question on the DoD model... HOWEVER... When I was on the course just three weeks ago the instructor did emphasise that it was still on the list of things that they could test for and could easily come up.

I certainly wouldn't dwell on it too much though... Just knowing OSI Layers 1&2 = DoD Network Access layer and Layers 5,6&7 = DoD Application Layer should suffice.

Regards,

Mark
