Hello, i hope someone can help me, i have been pulling my hair out for weeks now!! my company created a sharepoint site for all our companies forms. i have recently converted all our existing non-electronical forms (print form, fill out form, and fax form) to infopath forms for use on this new sharepoint site so we could quit the printing and faxing of forms and users can fill out and submit the forms from this single site. i have four diffrent departments that have their own forms. when i publish the forms to the site all the forms show up under the "documents" heading on the quick launch bar after i change the setting to have them show on the quick launch bar. my problem is now that all the forms are published to the site the quick launch bar is very, very long due to the fact that i published 23 forms to it. so now there are 23 forms under the "documents" heading. this really looks bad what i am trying to do is somehow put the four diffrent departments on the quick launch bar and when you click the department then you could see the forms for that department and then be able to click the form that you want to fill out, and then the "fill out this form" link and have the infopath form open up so that users can fill out and submit the form.

Does anyone have an idea how i might do this?? if not does anyone have any suggestions on how i might be able to do something to the quick launch bar so that the 23 forms are listed somehow but not make the quick launch bar so long??

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
mike

My suggestion

In the general settings for all the form libaries. Remove them from the quick launch bar.

Create a document libary containing webpart pages "Forms". Name it forms

In the document libary create a webpart page for each Department."HR",Payroll","IT" etc...

In the webpart page add the webparts for each form that the department uses.

So that the end result would be.
I am in HR department
Click on the quick launch for "Forms" under document
Click on the page for "HR"
Now I will see each form libary on the page that is pertinent to my department.

When frustrated remember, in the computer world there is almost always a backdoor.
