Documents are reformating upon opening 1

All of a sudden the format of my documents change when I open them. If I choose printer and click on the same default printer (under system printer) and close the printer selection, the document reformats to the correct state. This only happens on my computer. If I log onto another computer and select the same document, the formating is correct. I downloaded updated printer drivers. That didn't work. I recloned my computer (with a Ghost image I had from several months ago). That worked for about a week and then the problem started all over again. I reinstalled the font that I use - that didn't work. I am completely frustrated! Please help. I am using Wordperfect 8 with the latest service pack and Windows NT with the latest service pack.
