Hi All,
Do anyone have a documentation on replacing a hard drive on S8800 duplex server?

Thanks in advance.

Software load?
How many hard drives are in the server?

If the server with more than one hard drive is using raid, you can just replace one with a
like drive. The system will build the replacement drive.

raid_status -n (check number of hard disks)
raid_status -n -v (check hard disk status, verbose)
raid_status -n -s (check hard disk status, short)
raid_status -s (check short drive data)
raid_status -p -v (check array status) Builds MegaSAS.log in current directory
raid_bbu_check -d

avaya@s8800-a> raid_status -n
3
avaya@s8800-a> raid_status -n -v
Drive in slot 1 is present
Drive in slot 2 is present
Drive in slot 3 is present
avaya@s8800-a> raid_status -p -v

If the server with more than one hard drive is using raid, you can just replace one with a like drive. The system will build the replacement drive. You can use the commands in my earlier thread to monitor progress of the rebuild.
drive can be replaced hot on standby or active server. This is not service affecting.
