Documentation CD for IBM-AIX 5L question 1

Hi,

We are trying to install AIX 5L with all man pages.
But could not find documentation for man pages.
Does it come by default ?
Here are the details of CD,we have.

CD 1: AIX 5L for Power PC 1/5
CD 2: AIX 5L for Power PC 2/5
CD 3: AIX 5L for Power PC 3/5
CD 4: AIX 5L for Power PC 4/5
CD 5: AIX 5L Power PC Expansion pack (contains netscape,java,HTTP ..etc.)
After installing these, we still do not have
man pages for library functions like fopen,fclose
function.

Does documentation CD come at a extra cost .
Does anyone has any idea about it .
Please le me know.

No it does not come at extra cost I would speak to your service provider, a full pack also contains: AIX 5.1 Power Documentation CD, AIX 5.1 Bonus Pack and also AIX Toolbox for Linux.

Thanks for the information.

We will checkup, I am not very sure if we have
said full pack. But if we just ask for the O.S.
would the entire pack still come along with it.
What is difference in cost.
If you could give me some details about that would
be great.

Deepak,

If you just ask for OS all of the cd's and manuals should come including the one for documentation. IBM no longer charges for AIX as it is free but you have to pay a shipping and handling charge of around £50.

If you already have 5.1 then they should send you the missing cd's for free.
