Document Sub-Library

It seems to be absolutely impossible to create a document library within a document library. Is that true ?

I would like to have a document library for each of our active customers but seeing 500 document libraries on one page is overwhelming.

Any ideas ?

You are correct, you cannot have more than 1 document library.

You could create more workspaces.
You could control access to the folders in the document library so you can't see them all.
When you set up your network place, set up the folder path to point to the specific customer folder in the document library. In other words, rather than setting up your network place like \\server\workspace, create network places like
\\server\workspace\documents\customer1
\\server\workspace\documents\customer2
etc. You'll just end up with lots of newtork places instead.
