Anyone know how to have document searching in SharePoint?

On our Main Page, we have the Quick Links, which had 5 sections on it. IT, Engineering etc. For each departments documents.

At the bottom of all that, I would like to have a small textbox for "Search Documents" which searches all the document Libaries for any matches to that string.

How can you do this?

I'm finding it hard to
a) make the 'search' only search through the document libaries (as opposed to the default one at the top right which searches everything) and
b) Making this search appear on the QuickLinks on the left.

Cheers

Not sure, but here's my guess:

1. For just searching doc libraries I think the default is that the search is only limited by where you are (i.e. if you are in a doc library it will only search inside that one). There might be a way to change this programatically, don't know.

2. To change the Quick Launch, I'm pretty sure you need FP2003. If you already knew that and was asking how to replicate the search feature there, someone else will have to help us out here.
