I'm assuming you're using R5.
Go to the properties for the database (File/Database>Properties...), then click the "Launch" tab (the one that looks like a rocket ship). There is a option "When opened in Notes client" Change this to "Restore as last viewed by user" Assuming you have the correct level of access to the database of course. Mike
