Hi Guys
I've got a document that opens fine in Ms word XP but when opening in word 2003 i get a error "Word was unable to read this document. It may be corrupt. I then go to Open and repair in 2003 and it opens the document but want it to open normally. Is there a way to set Word to do automatic Error repair when opening the document. Obviously the document has some sort of error in it, but word Xp automatically fixes the error.

Please help

Try opening word by going Start > Run and type "winword /safe" (without the quotes).
Then try and open the document.
If it opens ok, try renaming your normal.dot file to normal.old and let word recreate it when it opens.
It may be that the normal.dot is corrupt.
