I currently have an NT 4.0 svc 6a domain controller.

On an isolated segment of my network I am deploying an active directory server. After I have completed the configuration and testing I will take the NT server off line and bring up my new 2003 server w/active directory.

I need a tool our utility that can look at my NT 4.0 server and see the partitions, file shares and what users and or groups have permissions on those objects as well as type of privileges.

Let me make myself clear; I am not in need of a utility to help me migrate or copy those file shares and permission to my new server I just want to see those attributes in some type of report.

Any recommendations

Respectfully,

David

You can run the SHOWACLS resource kit command on your drives and capture the info on the ACLs to a text file (alternately you can use DUMPACL (google it))
If you would like something more graphical, I always found HYENA ( which is excellent at mapping pretty much everything and can generate reports. You can run it as a trial for 30 days but I think it's worth purchasing if you have the budget for it.
