Document Library - Left Click not working

Hello,
The below question is in regards to SharePoint 2007.

I have a user who is unable to open a document from a document library with a left click, the left click is essentially ignored. In order to open the document, he needs to right click, select Document->Edit Document.

He is running IE 8, other users with IE 8 have no issues.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Did you fix this? Just had a couple of thoughts...

Does it just happen (for this user) on that library/site, or on other sites too? Thinking it could be an odd permissions thing.

Or are they using a particular view on that library?

Might also be something up with his IE settings, but I'm struggling to work out what.
