DoCmd or RunCommand for Export (as Word Merge File)?

I want to export the queries as .txt in the Word Merge file format, which I guess is a quote-delimited text file. I tried the Output To routine in a macro, but it results in a useless mess that Word can't merge in. The "Export as Word Merge file" works just great, though. Question is: how to do this in code. It seems as though this is the required method of merging data with Word in a runtime app. I don't know where else to look, so hope an expert here knows this! Thanks so much,

there's docmd.transfertext(acExportMerge,.....)

did not ever use it myself, but should work though..
