What does this line of code do?

DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, 5, , acMenuVer70

Hi!

It saves the current record.

This is how you tell. acFormBar means you look at the menu bar for a form, acRecordsMenu means look in the Records drop down menu and 5 means look at the fifth command down.

Does ME.DIRTY = FALSE do the same thing?

No, the Dirty property just identified if a record has been changed or not.

Does ME.DIRTY = FALSE do the same thing?
I think so, provided the active form is the form containing this code..
And this too:
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord

Hope This Helps, PH.
