platform: Widows XP Pro, Office 2K3, Adobe Acrobat 8 Prof.

issue: JPEG color images inserted into word documents do not convert as color but rather as grayscale. Images convert quite nicely to pdf on their own as color from within Acrobat. I'm truly confused; I've checked settings and they are as they should be. This has worked in the past, I've not altered settings, and even restored default settings.

any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
ST

It would help to know what process you are following to convert to PDF

Member- AAAA Association Against Acronym Abusers
Only here temporarily during job transition....again....but better this time.

It doesn't work either from within word (e.g. click Adobe PDF, Convert to Adobe PDF on the main toolbar in Word) or from within Acrobat (click Create PDF, From File... or From Multiple Files... on the main toolbar in Acrobat Pro).

Thanks,
