Hi Everyone,

I would like to take a quick poll on IS clustering.

Are alot of you clustering or not and if so how many servers do you cluster?

Has/is anyone running a 4 server cluster?

From all of the documentation I have read IS is only certified for 4 servers. Our current setup is 3 servers in production with 2 of them clustered and the 3rd running a different server configuration for 1 project. We are getting to the point where we are adding on a lot of new projects and I want to make sure our environment can handle the extra load. We are thinking about clustering 4 servers together and have all of them run on 1 server configuration. All of our servers are identical with dual processors and 2 gigs of ram on each.

Any comments, suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

The only problem may be the memory considerations. If you have a lot of projects, the server is going to use more memory. There is a 2GB memory (or 3GB if you use 4GT) limit. Other than that, you should be fine with 4 server cluster. I hope MSTR can support XP 64 soon.
