Do we need License for SBC?

Configure AVAYA SBC + Session Mgr + System Mgr 6.3 with CS1K 7.65, it’s work fine but getting license Err. On SBC, It’s working in Grace period. My question is Do we need License for SBC? As our sales told me that no need if Configure with Avaya CS1K. pls Help…

there are licenses within the SBC you need to have. We run CS1K - Rls 7.6 with System/Session Manager and SBC. You need trunk licenses in the SBC to work with the Session Manager, based on the number of concurrent calls. If not, then we have been purchasing licenses we didn't need. But, we have been required to increase our SBC licenses when we wanted to add more SIP trunks from the carrier. So I guess I should say that, you need them if you are using them for Carrier trunks.
