E:/Files/Apps1 (old server files)
E:/Files/Disk1 (user and company junk)
E:/Profiles (user roaming profiles)

Microsoft Exchange Public Folders
Shadow Copy Components
Microsoft Information Store

That is what is set to backup on our server. It is a SBS 2003 with exchange.
The backup was setup by someone else, Im just making sure it is good.

I noticed user mailboxes arent being backed up at all. Scary.
I see under sql, we have bkupexec, sbsmonitoring, and sharepoint unchecked. I do not think we use sharepoint (it is for remote users right?) Dont think we need to backup bkupexec or sbsmonitoring.

Whats your opinions on all this?

hello,

If you are backing up the infomation store you are backing up the users mailboxes

Share point is a website that users can share , create and update documents like word and excel but can be used for loads other stuff

In you selections above you would never be able to recover from server crash or disaster. The C: drive needs to be selected along with shadow copy components If you had to reubild the system then restore the shadow copy components you take the chance of drivers not matching ,etc and the server wont boot off the restore. It would make it easier if you select the C: drive along with your selections above
