Do these exams expire?...

I'm about to sit my last exam to get my MCSA and was planning on using my Network+ and A+ for my electives. Looking on my MCP site, my CompTIA certs are not listed even though it says they should be on the MCP site. Hence my question, is there a time limit on how long you can count these 2 exams towards your MCSA?

I really hope not as I don't want to pay out to sit them all over again.

I have not read anything on a time limit that Microsoft may impose on CompTia Exams.

Wishdiak can probably lend more advice here. But as far as CompTia is concerned - their certifications are lifelong.

I do recall seeing that Microsoft needed you to get the MCP - and send them the info of your CompTia certs along with the MCP one you just got to apply the credit.

I found what I was looking for. You need to register at the CompTIA site and fill out an on-line form to get them tosend your results to MS.

That's correct. You need to have a MCP number from Microsoft first, and then request that CompTIA send your certification information to Microsoft.

It sounds like you've done that, so now all you need to do it wait. You should get a confirmation from CompTIA that they've sent the info, but don't expect one from Microsoft that they've received it.

Check your MCP transcript and it will eventually show up. I think it took about a month all together for Microsoft to post the info on mine.
