Do SMIT SysEnv changes require a reboot ?? 1

Hi all,

I'm not too familiar with AIX (Sun man ;).

I need to change the MBUFS environment variable using SMIT, but the system is live and I don't want to cause a reboot. Is this needed for the setting to take effect ??
