Hi. First post.
I have always used Epson - but have grown weary of stopped up heads over the years - so I bought a HP 4215 AIO. It will print in 6 colors with the #58 cartridge I bought extra.

Problem is a picture of my wife where she is in a bright red top. When I print it (through Qimage)the picture is great - other than the red. It is very muddy, and almost like it is oversaturated - with somewhat of an orange or brownish cast.

There is little I find in the driver to adjust. I did turn down the satuation level, and it was washed out - but still muddy.

Any ideas - or am I headed back to Staples with this printer.

Thanks

all I can suggest off hand is adjusting the light/dark through a page setup.

Did you try writing a small html file and printing the
picture through I.E.
<html>
<body>
<img src="\pictures\mywife.jpg">
</body>
</html>

save it as an htm or html extension and then call up intetnet explorer (working off line if necessary) put the path of the html file in the address bar to display it,
then file>print

the "\pictures\mywife.jpg" is an example, substitute the actual path and file name (and drive if necessary)
You may have to use file:///
in front of it (especially if you use netscape instead of I.E.)

(the file:/// would go in the address bar not the picture name)

Does the printer have a utilities menu that will allow you
to CORRECT color shift??????????????
