Have setup M3903 with x 2 DN's .
I want to be able to lift the handset without getting primary DN getting dial tone. I want to force the user to select the DN he wants to dial out on.
Basically want set to act like commander style and select the line.

Just do the following programming of your set.

KEY 1 SCR XXXX
KEY 2 SCR XXXX
CLS OLD (OUTGOING LINE PREFERENCE DENIED)

YOU CAN NOT HAVE THE DN ON KEY 0, BECAUSE THEN THE USER
WILL GET THE DIALTONE WHEN GOING OFFHOOK.

WITH THE DN`S FROM KEY 1 AND UPWARDS, THE USER WILL HAVE TO
SELECT WHICH LINE TO USE.
IT`S THE PROMPT "OLD" IN CLS THAT MAKES THIS FEATURE AWAILABLE. IF YOU CHANGE THE PROMPT IN CLS TO "OLA", AND THEN GOE OFFHOOK, YOU WILL SEE THAT YOU GET THE FIRST
DN, ON KEY 1.

Thanks for that.

Was hoping there was a way of not having to use Key 0, but obviously there isn't.

Thanks
Richard

Sorry, I mean't I wanted to use Key 0 and not have to use Key 1 and 2
