Hi All,

When I have new ddfs for existing and amended .btr's, is it necessary to set up new DSNs if the existing data dictionaries remain in the same directory, and the Pervasive drivers have remained the same?

To my way of thinking, the DSN's are simply to identify and point to where the ddfs are located. Provided the ddfs represent the data at that location, applications (MS Access) that use ODBC links with the tables should work fine.

PSQL v10.10 is in use.

Thanks so much!!

Updating data files or DDFs does not require a new or updated DSN (or Database Name) in most cases.
Make sure all users are out of the system, replace the DDFs / data files, restart the engine, and you should be fine. Restarting the engine empties the cache.
