Do I really need a VPN Server??

Hello Everyone,

Hope someone can help me with this one.

I'm trying to setup VPN in my company. This is what I'm trying to achieve:

a) LAN to LAN (VPN Router - VPN DSL Modem)
b) LAN to Remote WXP/W2K computer (VPN Router - Normal DSL)
(Is this scenario posible to achieve???)
c) LAN to Mobile (VPN Router - Dialup)

I have NAT enable on the VPN router and I don't have any kind of VPN Server, is it really necessary to have one?? or is it just fine to configure each side of the VPN??

Also, what is the best suited protocol to use in each scenario??

As you can see I'm fairly new wit VPN, I would appreciate any tips and suggestions.

Hey Rocket,

Although it is not neccesary to have a VPN server because there are routers that provides VPN capabilities for your network, you might want to think about security. No computers are completely safe unless its a stand alone.
