Do I really have to verify database?

If I have a report that runs off of a stored procedure and I change the stored procedure and recompile it, do I really have to do into the report, Verify database, and then save it? I'm thinking that it should see the modified procedure and then run fine. The design of the report does not change at all.

Thanks,

Hi,Have you tried?

If the SP returns different fields, then the verify will probably be needed..

I just tried and it seems to work without verifying. Nothing but some selection criteria changed in the stored proc and it seems to be recognized in the report now without doing anything within CR or CE.

Hi,
That should be what it does..The SP handles the actual processing, so as long as the returned result set ( the REF CURSOR) has the expected fields, CR is happy...
