Do i need to reboot after changing my subnet mask?

What services need to be restarted?

No you don't need to reboot the machine.. if u r changing that with ifconfig it will change the subnet mask on the fly.. if u r changing it with GUI you can restart the network service
as service network restart

if you're using command prompt, try this /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart

Tk.

fyi, '/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart' and '/sbin/service network restart' are the same thing. In Red Hat, you can substitute 'service' with '/etc/rc.d/init.d/' to access any of the init scripts.
