When opening a node for a server on the selections page shared folders appear seperately from the hard drives (C: and D:).

These shares are on those drives anyway so do I need to select the shares for backup or will they be backed up as long as the hard drive they are on is backed up?

Also, for those of you backing Windows Domain controllers do you select the sysvol share or do you not need to if backing up the system state and system drive?

Thanks.

Don't need to backup shares in addition to C: and D: drives or it would be a redundant backup.

Yes, if your OS (\winnt) is on C: then backup C: drive to include \winnt\system32 AND the system?state.
