Hi, I'm not familiar with Bay routers and have a few questions. First, the Site Manager documentations states that I need BayRS and Site Manger software. I have SM, but not BayRS unless it is already installed on the router. Is this normally the case? I am going to the customer soon and want to be prepared. There is a router expert going with me, but I want to be as involved as possible.
2) What issues might we find in loading a configuration file from one router to another and then changing a few parameters?

Any other helpful info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the help.

Hi,

1) If the Nortel Router i.e AN/ARN/ASN or passport have bee install before then the RS must be there.
2) SM normaly have the RS inside it software.
3) Make sure that the SM you are about to used is the same or higer version that the Nortel Router that you have. If the SM is lower, you won't be able to access using SM.
4) Copy config from a working router to a new router, if done corretly won't effect the network at all. Just make sure that you have changed all the parameter from the old site to the new site. Be very careful if you are using OSPF.

Thanks
