Hi all, I've been having problems with my computer recently.
Was browsing the internet the other day and suddenly red and blue dots appeared on screen. This is a screenshot of them:

I tried different drivers for my card (GeForce 4 Ti4600), but they seem to make the problem worse, as the PC reboots when they are installed.
I disabled auto reboot and got the blue screen with several errors, for example "DRIVER_CORRUPTED_MMPOOL", "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA", and "DRIVER IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

Right now there are no drivers installed, which i think is making the PC slower. I have tried various anti virus software to no avail.

It could also be the monitor, especially if it's a CRT. Red and Blue are two of the colors the electron gun fires for each pixel.

Try a different monitor if you can and make sure you update any drivers for your motherboard's chipset before reinstalling the latest Nvidia drivers.

If you still have trouble, it would help to know the make/model of the mobo and video card.

Unfortunately I don't have access to another monitor at this time.

Motherboard is an Abit AT-7 MAX 2.

Also in the device manager under "Display Adapters" it is simply saying "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)", and it says "The Drivers for this device are not installed", even though I have installed them.

OK, since you have an Abit AT-7 board with a VIA KT400 chipset, visit both Abit's and/or VIA's website for the latest chipset driver update. Reboot. Then go out to the video card manufacturer's website (not necessarily Nvidia) to get the latest drivers for your card and install them.

If you still have problems with the Red and Blue dots, try a different monitor when you have the chance...
