Hello,
I have recently deployed an email\website server. This server is outside of proxy and directly attaches to eth0 on a cisco 1600 router.
I just wondered if I need to put a firewall between the router and the email server to prevent a DOS attack. Our ISP controls the CISCO 1600. I would also like to set-up a VPN for me to access from home.
I have been offered a CISCO PIX 506 with VPN support for £500. I have also been offered a watchguard firebox II PRO for £300.
Could anybody advise me on which if any to choose.
Thanks in advance.
