Do i have the right speed?

I just bought a DSL 1MBit connection with AOL and i think that i dont have the right bandwidth
These are the results from
Speed

486.4 kilobits per second
Communications 486.4 kilobits per second
Storage 59.4 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 17.2 seconds
Subjective rating Not bad

And when i download from an ftp or an http the maximum i get is 60Kbts/sec,

And i'm Asking, shouldn't I download with a speed of 125Kbps/sec ?

I would guess around 100-120kb, I have a 1.5m and I get 150-160. You did not say what os. you are runing, if 98 you will have to tweek it to get full down loads. I use cable nut to tweek but dsl reports has a couple to do the job also. If you have viruses or Spyware thay can also effect your readings. I find Speekeasy to give the best tests.
 
Download speeds will also change depending upon the server, what type of connection the server has, the routers and servers between you and the host you are downloading from, the amount of traffic online in that area at that time, etc.
No internet connection is faster than its slowest link.
Also, check your b's. Are you really downloading at 60 KBps? The B represents Bytes instead of bits. Eight bits per Byte = 480 kilobits per second.
 
Its ok, I know what speed should i have, my ISP made a mistake and they connected me in the 512Kbits/s pack.
They change it to 1Mbit and know I'm downloading with 130KBytes/s
