hey ..

I have to install a CICS tommorrow with a call pilot.
2 GATC - CLID INTERNATIONAL line cards came with the order.

Does this card also include Disconnect Supervision. I've heard that with a call pilot u need DS so that the lines do not get tied up by the attendant.

So does my card have DS built in .. or do i have to buy a specific DS card .. are they not line cards that come with both features ??

Any answers would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you have caller id cards, which it sounds like you do, they can be configured as disconnect supervision.

thanks rylsfan ...

soo is there something specific that i need to enable in the hardware programming to enable DS for the CI card?

Yes in line programming you enable DS is trunk/line data for EACH trunk. It is disabled by default.
You can test DS by calling into the system and putting yourself on hold. Then hang up and see if the system drops the line by itself within a few seconds.
