We just recently switched ISP's and went to a T1 at the same time. This problem is kind of hard to explain.

I have 3 POP users out of about 40 that cannot send mail thru our exchange virtual servers. (2 users use Bell and 1 uses Rogers)

I have 3 virtual servers setup (port 25, 587, 588) for specific reasons.

The 3 pop users (doesn't matter which virtual server we use) cannot send mail. The user gets "server connection was interupted" and stops.

I can change the users to their ISP smtp outgoing server and it works fine obviously but is not very portable.

Would this be corruption in the store? or something I am missing, I have confirmed DNS, rnds, MX records and to me it all looks good.

Are some ISP's now blocking routing through other servers? stupid if you ask me....help

Lots of ISPs will block port 25.

Have your users use OWA instead.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

yes, that is one reason why we use port 587 for Rogers, the higher ups don't want to use OWA for some reason. We also only have one server. So I am stuck with popping.

I ran eseutil and isinteg last night to see if that will help. don't know yet.

You could use Outlook Over HTTP instead.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
