I can browse the internet but only to (gmail.com works also) Any other web ulr or ip adderss which I have tried return with no data on page.
Ping resolves DNS entries and return the correct ip address. Tracert works also. Ftp works.
Both ie & firefox produce same result.
Network Setup: Road Runner cable modem, netgear router/firewall
3 computers: 1 Computer Works Fine, 2 of them quit working on Wed 2/22/2005
Have XP SP2 installed on all 3: with incidents up to date prior to problem.
Have microsoft spyware removal and McAfee or Symantec on other. I can not longer do updates.
On 1 computer I have tried:
Restoring to System Restore Point
Firefox & Internet Explorer
Hooking a broken computer directly to the cable modem.
Microsoft spyware find nothing.
WinSockXPFix
I think I have a virus, or some other spyware that hasn't been identified.
Any thoughts?
