DNS: WARNING SOA expire value is less than 7 days (0)

Hello again,

I'm getting this message in my /var/adm/messages file:

WARNING SOA expire value is less than 7 days (0)

However, my expire value is exactly 7 days.


551 ; Serial
10800 ; Refresh
3600 ; Retry
604800 ; Expire
86400 ) ; Min. TTL
 
on which OS release and which bind release do you see the messages? Do you use the Sun bind or a opensource one? Did you recently patch, upgrade or change the system or the bind config?

I have a feeling you have some syntax error. Query that server for the SOA record to see that it is reflected correctly. (I looked at some recent bind code and it should not spit up unless < (number of seconds in a week).
