dns tunnel requests BM 3.5 sp3

I am not primarily a novell guy so I am
not really up on the dns implementation
for netware.

We use a 5.1 / BM 3.5 machine as proxy gw
for our LAN.
Unless I set up the tunneling myself I do
not like it when an application decides to
tunnel through my bastion hosts-yet I am
getting tunnel requests approved through
this machine and can find no info at novell on this behavior. These are dns tunnel requests under the proxy console dns option.
Is this normal behavior for the proxy to
tunnel some requests? (dynamic nat only.)
