Hi there

I have a question regarding DNS resolution on our local LAN. We piggy back our DNS of a larger parent company who operate a proxy server and control out internet access however we have our own inhouse LAN. Recently we moved our intranet to a new physical location and in the process gave it a testing name. During this process it was available over our LAN under both its original name and the testing name.

I then thought it would be kind of cool to use the DNS of our parent company and so sorted that out. However I then found that while I could view the testing version of our intranet site I couldnt see the original. As this was only tested on my local machine I carried on with the intranet move and it is now completed and WINS resolution is pointing to the new location....but....I still cant see the intranet site using DNS.

I dont really know where to start with this so any help is most appreciated.

Sorry bout the lengthy novel.

Thanks
