Hi and thanks for reading this message.
I have a small network running 2000 server SP2, DHCP, Dynamic DNS, AD intergrated for a valid domain.
The DNS service appears to stop responding under heavy network traffic conditions. Sustained file transfers, 2GB Ghost images for example. Requiring a server reboot to get it working again.
There are no errors indicating that this service has a problem.
I have changed the NIC as a precaution, also loaded the latest 3Com driver.
Any suggestions as to what may cause such a problem. All other services seem to work OK, but as these services are located via DNS, it is causing a few
problems with users.
Thanks in anticipation.
Phil
