Hello,

We have a Active Directory Forest with Parent Domain and 4 Child Domains.

Currently DNS is installed on two Domain Controllers in the parent Domain and this contains all the information for the 5 Total Domains. All servers and clients point to these two Domain Controllers

This does not seem to be a very efficient method - please can someone offer some recommendations. - For example should I simply install DNS on each Domain controller in the entire forest and point each DC at its self?

How should I setup the DNS replication do I use AD intergrated, so that each Domain controller has dns records for all domains?

Thanks in advance

Can you tell us more about the physical aspect of your Network. If your domain/child domains live within the same LAN, assuming the LAN has no issues, then your current setup should be fine. If you child domains are separated geogrhapically using WAN technologies, then I would look into hosting DNS servers in thoses locations. How you do that also depends on network topology.
